Scheduled league games will not be rescheduled due to teams not having enough players or other conflicts. Keep in mind the schedule spans 300+ teams, 25+ gym locations, holidays, and other variables — it’s a complex system, and games simply cannot be moved because a team is short on players or has scheduling conflicts.

Referees must be paid in cash before every game.

If you are unable to field a team, you must still go to the scheduled gym and pay the referees at game time.

Forfeit Policy: Referencing Rules Section 19: Game time is forfeit time — a team must have five or more rostered players present at the scheduled start time. Even in a forfeit, both teams are responsible for paying the referees.

If there is a forfeit, a score should be entered in Teamsnap Tournaments App as 1 to 0. 0 for the team that forfeited.

As a courtesy, please notify the opposing coach as soon as possible using the Coach Directory (under Coach Resources on this website).
When doing so, copy your Parish AD to keep communication aligned.

Repeated or unnotified forfeits may be reviewed by your Parish AD and subject to further action.

Scorekeeping/Scoreboard:  Each team must have a volunteer to either maintain the scoresheet or run the scoreboard/clock.  Suggest that you determine in advance who among your parents will do this for you.  Also, you might want to consider pre-filling your roster on a score-sheet.  Please list your players in jersey number order (lowest to highest).

Reporting Game Scores: Coaches are responsible for entering final game scores in the TeamSnap Tournaments app shortly after each game - within a few hours of completion.

Accurate and timely score entry helps ensure standings and results remain current across all divisions.
If a score was entered incorrectly, please notify your Parish AD to correct it.

Pre-game Prayer:  Prior to the game, each team (players and coaches) gather at center court for prayer, most typically, the Lord’s Prayer.  We’ve been asked to encourage players to begin the prayer.

Uniforms: Standard convention is to wear light jerseys when designated as the home team and dark jerseys when designated as the away team.

• Go to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
• Search for TeamSnap Tournaments and download the app to your device.

Register with Your Coach Email Address

• Once downloaded, open the app.
• Register using the email address you provided for coach communications.

Search for "West Diablo CYO Basketball"

• After registering, search for West Diablo CYO Basketball in the app.
• Once found, favorite the league to easily access it in the future.

Find Your Team

• Search for your team by Boy or Girl, Grade level, American or National division, and your coach’s last name.
• Once you’ve located your team, mark it as a favorite.

View Your Team's Schedule

• After favoriting your team, you can now view the full schedule and any updates directly in the app.
• You can favorite multiple teams across the league.
